LP Moon Pidta Ruay Thun Zai

One of the Pidta I loved the most if Pidta Ruay Thun Zai. Many of my friends know i don't wear pidta. I never found pidta effective, at least that is my personal feeling and i have tried many including those made by LP Toh, LP Tim. I have not reach LP Iam, LP Kiew, LP Klan standard yet. So, i have never try those. But LP Toh one and LP Time one, i have worn before and i got no positive feeling at all. In fact, i started to get hot tempered easily and my relationship with family becomes tense. So, i stop and never wear pidta for a long time. Until last year, i got convince by a thai collector to try LP Moon Pidta and this changed my view altogether. I have described that in my previous post, so, i am not repeating again.

Pidta Ruay Thun Zhai (Money abundance, millionaire) was made in 2543. Very new in fact. It has received raved reviews all over Thailand. It was made with many different type of materials and made in very small quantity. So, before i come to US, i invested in the most expensive material , nur Lek Num Pi. This costs me >150k THB. Considering other material is only costing 20k - 45k THB. But i believe it will cost even more few years down the road. Many of my friends have collected the entry level material and have good reviews too.

Remarks: First time in 132 years, it was made in ceremony blessing of Sao ha lasted for 5 days by 5 monks of Luang pu with age of more than 100 years old on Saturday the 5th waxing moon in 5th months and 5th year (Dragon year 2543 B.E)

History of this pidta:

- Famous since Indo-China war time in 1937 which involved between Thailand & France

- Many legendary Archans made the amulets for the soldiers to safeguard from the danger

- After Indo-China war, it was world war two, those Archans produced the amulets.

- Thailand allied with Japan. As such, Japanese army settled down in many parts of Thailand which afterwards were attacked by bombs from air troops. This resulted in many civilian casualties.

- Many amulets were then made and given out to the soldiers, police officers, volunteers and civilians for self-protection and boost their morale.

- In 1942 , Archan Nu, wat Pho or Wat Phra Chetuphon made this pidta from the bones.

- Archan Nu was not only a master in making and blessing the amulet but also in Thai traditional medicine. He cured the villagers or sometimes blessed them or gave them amulet.

How it is made:

- The method of making this Phra Pidta was rather usual from the normal practice. He used ashes of the dead and mixed other blessed items since he believed that these ashes were a kind of charm. However, a master needs to bless them to get rid of the evil from the dead.

- The ashes of the dead can be of any- need not be of those who died of unnatural death.  In that period, ashes can be found easily, from the casualties in the war.

- Archan Nu mixed plants- those found deep in the woods. Despite these unusual components Archan Nu used, the amulets he made are very effective. Whatever your wish is, it will be granted. You should make merits for the owner of the ashes afterwards.

- The miracle from the amulet was proven from many incidents. Thai soldiers were shot but came back from dead to fight on.

How people like it:

- This amulet is very famous in keeping the users safe. In term of luck, there is like someone who will tell you how to get lucky. However, if you already get enough fortune, do not be greedy and ask for more.

- Any users who would like to experience such luck or fortune, just need to keep this one amulet.

Other Details of Phra Pidta:

Nowadays, Phra Pidta made by Archan Nu found in the market is not authentic. The authentic version must be pressed with deep mold and shows marks of the old age. This piece is a highlight in the market- not too expensive, although not easy to be found.

Pidta Kradoop Phi - Myth or Real? Barang or Sacred?

We are not talking about those made by LP Suk, or LP Kiew or pidta benjapakkee. Those are 2 level up and may cost 5-6 figures in SGD. It is far fetch and not for common collector. It is too hard to verify too.

I am talking about Pidta Kradoop Phi made by Ajarn Noo in 2485 (75 years ago). Together with LP Jien pidta, they are known to be the two sacred pidta with human ashes most effective and affordable by common collectors in this era.

It has become one of the most famous piece of pidta in Indochine period (2480 era).

History:
During Indochine war, many lives were claimed. Millions of Civilian died. Sorrow is in the air. Phra Ajarn Noo from Wat Pho who is a Khmer origin monk wanted to do something to help. He wanted to make a series of amulets using ashes of soldier, generals, civilians with the following 2 purpose:
- To protect the soldier so that they have better chances of winning
- To gain merit for the deceased

With that intention, he seek approval from the authority as Wat Pho is known to be a royal temple. By right, they do not allow amulets to be made of ashes or human fleshed. Back then, barang is not popular and is something not many people will want to even touch it. But knowing the intention of Ajarn Noo and also believing his power and ability to control the spirits and seek forgiveness and compassion, they approved the making of this batch and as many said, the rest are history. I personally think that may be there is another reason too:

- Too many dead body. They want to dispose it effectively and made best use of it.

Among the series of amulet, pidta is the most famous one. Its name, kradoop means bones/ashes. Phi means ghost. It was known back then, Thai soldiers that wore this pidta is "invinsible". They won many battle. Enemy can't see them clearly. And they can't be defeated. The French soldiers named this army as "ghost soldier". 


So, is this barang?
The answer is yes and no. I think from its ingredient, it is. But if it is purely based on ingredient to segregate if it is barang or not, then so is KPPK of LP Tim, KP of LP tae, GumanTong of LP Tae and many more.

To me, Barang is something made with not the right intention/purpose by bomoh/ajarn with sole intention is to make money out of it without considering repurcussion. Strange ingredient is added just to make it looks weird. Bomoh/Ajarn has not enough power to conmmunicate with the spirit and the amulet has short term effect with repurcussion to wearer cause the intention is not right. They try to control the spirit so as to do what the wearer is asking.

Whereas for Pidta Kradoop Phi, KPPK, KP and guman made by LP tae are different. They are made with the right purpose of gaining merit for the spirit so that they have better lives after they rebirth. Grant ceremony (many monks attended) are held to ensure spirit understood the intention and agreeable to gain merit by helping wearer to avoid danger and improve luck in everything they do (with good intention of course). 

So, this separates the real "barang" and the sacred amulet with "barang" material. Right? This is my own opinion anyway.

And if you ask me, why this batch demands so high price? I will say, it is market driven. It has been known to collectors that this batch of pidta is highly effective. It is good for fetching wealth, avoiding danger and improving luck. Overall luck. I will share an article that describe this pidta later on. So, despite many fake in the market, real piece and good condition piece still demand very high price. A good piece can demand up to THB 80,000 THB. Many pieces i saw in market are asking for S$500-800. Pls rent it prudently. You are real lucky if you get a real one at that price.

What i shared here is a very good condition of Pidta kradoop Phi. Thick, original. I have seen many, this is so far the best piece i have seen and collected. Should encased with gold one day. Easy to see and it is known that people with quiet and focus mind, can communicate with it. I have no luck so far though.

L.p. doo is famous for his phra phrom, pert loke lp thuat and mahasedtee rein. But not many know that his pidta yantyong is equally good.

Both for wearing or collection. Why?

1. Very limited made. Some say 80, some say 90. But confirm made less than 100. For brass material. There are other material such as nawa,  measure etc. Those have more quantity n price cheaper by half.

2. This pidta made with wax casting method. Follow olden days method of how pidta was made in wat nang (l.p. eam) and wat thong (l.p. tub). Both of these are top 5 pidta in Thai worth million now (certain Pim).

3. All hand made. No two piece Similar. Unique n very cute looking especially for braas material version.

Lp Suk ( wat makamtao) - Top ten monks in thailand

Pra Kru WiMonKuNaGon or Luang Poo Suk GeSaRoh was borned at Moo Bahn Pahk Klorng MaKhamTao, Ampher WatSing, Jangwat ChaaiNaht. He was borned on 14th October BE2390 during the 4th King Regime.

When Luang Poo Suk was 10 years old, his mother sent him to KhungTep(Bangkok) to be raised by his uncle. Luang Poo Suk remained in khungTep until he got married and got a son. When Luang Poo Suk reached the age for ordain, he went to Wat PohTorngLahng and was ordained as a monk. His ordain's name was called GeSaRoh. Luang Poo Suk studied Dhamma and Sammadti at Wat PohTorngLahng until he was ready to go Tudung. He met many teachers in his Tudung days and he learned Wichah from them. One of the famous teachers who taught him Wichah was Pra Ah Jahn ThumWuaDaeng. Pra Ah Jahn ThumWuaDaeng was also the teacher who has taught Luang Por Ngern Wat Bang Klang Jangwat PiJit.

Luang Poo Suk went back to his hometown after many years in Tudung. His parents who has waited many years for his return, asked Luang Poo Suk to remain at Pahk Klorng MaKhamTao. Luang Poo Suk obeyed his parents and stayed at Pahk Klorng MaKhamTao until he became the abbot of the village's temple; Wat Pahk Klorng MaKhamTao. Luang Poo Suk rebuilt Wat Pahk Klorng MaKhamTao, from a small village temple to a large and beautiful temple.

Luang Poo Suk has many disciples, both ordained and lay disciples. One of his lay disciple who was very close to Luang Poo Suk was GromLuangChumPron KhetUDomSak who was the son of the 4th King. Luang Poo Suk taught him everything he knew about Dhamma and Wichah.

Luang Poo Suk was very famous for his Wichah. One of his abilties was that he could change the sizes and shapes of an object. And there was a widely circulated legand of him transforming elephant into house flies n transforming human into crocodile. Just ask around and most ppl in bkk will tell you this.

There was one day, an large group of merchants, stopped by at Wat Pahk Klorng MaKhamTao to rest. During those days, merchants used elephants as a mean of transportation.

While the merchants wanted to cook their meals at the temple, but realised that they did not bring along enough meat. Some of the villagers, jokingly asked them why don't they use their rifles to shoot at the pigeons at the temple, so that they could have pigeon meat for their dinner. One of the merchants took the joke seriously, and started to fire his rifle at the pigeon, but the rifle failed to fire. The villagers stopped him, and told him that Luang Poo Suk prohibit anyone to kill living things in the temple. That merchant refused to listen and seeing that the rifle failed to fire, he raised his cross-bow and fire the arrow at the pigeon. The arrow flied off, but dropped at a short distance, without hitting the pigeon. This merchant became very angry and started to shout: "What great power that The abbot of this temple has?"

Luang Poo Suk as if could hear the merchant from his KuTi from far, he came out from his kuti with hands carrying an empty coconut husk. Luang Poo Suk went to the gazing field. He chanted certain kathah on to the coconut husk, and then point towards the direction where the merchants' elephants were gazing. Miraculously, the elephants were reduced into houseflies and Luang Poo Suk covered the houseflies with the empty coconut husk.

The next morning, when the merchants were to set off their journey, they could not find their elephants. They quckly went to Luang Poo Suk and told him that their elephants have been stolen. Luang Poo Suk preached them precept of not killing of living beings: "If you kill a living being, the living being will feel pain. This is similar to the pain of losing your elephants." Luang Poo Suk taught them Dhamma and asked them to practise good deeds instead of bad deeds. The merchant then realised that it was Luang Poo Suk who was behind the strange happenings the previous day.

Luang Poo Suk led them out from his Kuti and went to the gazing field. Luang Poo Suk chanted a kathah and removed the coconut husk and the houseflies turned into elephant one more time. This was witnessed by many back then.

This ability to change objects into different sizes and shapes was one of Luang Poo Suk Wichah. He has never taught any person this Wichah, except GromLuangChumPron, his favourite lay disciple and GromLuangChumPron has never taught anyone until he passed away on the same year as Luang Poo Suk.

Luang Poo Suk Wat Makamtao passed away on 21st January BE2466 at the age of 76 living behind this legend n his teaching.

Today, lp Suk amulets or takrut or pidta were highly sought after n were easily one of the top ten ranking in their own categories in thailand. Certain pim with special materials have prices comparable to a piece of somdej wat rakhang. It has become a dream for amulets collectors to own any phra from him or even his photo.

LP Daeng first batch Black Pidta, Wat Khao ban dai-it

Needless to introduce. Luang Phoo Daeng from Wat Khao Bandai-it is widely known as bullet proof monk after producing the first batch medal in 2503 wore by many movie stars in Hong Kong. Now, this first batch medal has grown up much in price costing anywhere from S$4500 - $8000.

Other then medal, LP Daeng has also produced famous Somdej, pidta, nangpaya etc which are all very holy items and widely liked by people because of the effacacy it has demonstrated throughout the years.And over the years, his somdej and other amulets have shifted up in price costing anywhere from S$300 to S$1000. Still very affordable as compared to his medal with similar effect and protection for wearer.
