1. Many amulets with hand written jarn issued by LP Doo of Wat saket. However, not all are handwritten by himself. So, if you observe carefully, you can see difference and authentic a LP Doo rein from the fake.

- Rein kang bua 2520 are all jarned by LP Doo

Takrut Made by LP Doo in Various Period

Sharing few different Takrut by LP Doo, Wat Saket. Not so popular among the dealers but they are well received by private collectors of LP Doo amulets. These takrut is good and very affordable. Especially good for metta and business and for meditation practitioners.

There are 2 codes 8cm (metal), single code 5cm (metal) and 8cm metal inserted with sacred powder and tied with nylon thread.

LP Thuat 2524 Wat Changhai Pim kamakarn (Niyom) Nur Wahn - 2x Champion

This piece is rare to find. Many in the market currently is either fake or remake batches. And as recorded, only 2000 were made back then. After 31 years, many are lost or broken. How many left at good condition then?

According to temple record, pim kamakarn produced 2000 pieces, the rest pim yai, pim klang, pim phra rod combined 200-300k produced with pim phra rod produced less like 20-30k. Within pim kamakarn, there are big face and small face. Big face is niyom and produced less. Price is also 10-15% higher than small face.

To find a real McCoy 2524 LP thuat Kamakarn is no easy task. and its price has gone up till surpassed some 2509, 2511 rein made by LP Tim himslf.

Many are kept tightly in the safe and the dealer or collectors do not even want to show people.

Above is one piece with near perfect condition and naturally grown "substance" on the surface of the wahn. Comes with original temple box. Big face, niyom pim. Rarr than normal kamakarn pim.

LP Thuat Wat Prasat 2506 Nur Gao (old powder)/khao (white)

Many friends know me as a fan of prasat amulet..i have sangkacai, somdej pra kru moon style, somdej toh image, lp suk image, kring etc..but lp thuat nur gao (khao) this is the first time due to its price. have been checking around since 2 years back when the price is 1k+. Thought too expensive as compared to other wat prasat amulets. Then last year, it was 2k+. Price has increased a lot for this particular piece.

Then recently, came across this piece from the hand of Wat Prasat and 2497 LP thuat kamakan, and decided to take this back home with a big hole in my pocket :)

Submitted this piece in Lopburi competition last week on 18 Nov organized by Samakorm, and got 1st placing...:)

Why do i like this?

1. Wat Prasat 2506 batch has gone through super duper grand consecration with all the famous monk / lp of that era including LP Tim of wat changhai, LP Tae of Wat Sam ngan, LP Nak of Wat Rakhang etc.

2. All the good ingredients are mixed in this batch include 2497 lpt, WPN powder donated by LP Sodh, old somdej Toh WRK powder etc...too many to list down. Refer to old post of mine describing Wat Prasart. And for this piece, as recorded, it is almost 100% old Bang khom phom powder. One of the most expensive pim and material among all Wat prasat LP thuat.

3. This piece is one of the rare find. Nur Gao (old), khao = white. It is yellowish tinted with green patches. Thai called this "Doo ngai" for this material and condition..

4. Combining power of LPT and somdej power, we get the best of both world. now lp thuat made by AC Tim and somdej BKP easily cost SGD 5 figure digit. For this piece, it is fraction of that price.

Somdej Phra Kru Moon, Pim Mee Na Ta, 2495 (Rectangle)

Sharing this piece of rarely seen Somdej Phra Kru Moon, issued by Wat Suthat on 2495.

Phra Kru Moon is a highly respected monk in the past with very high meditation power. He has collected lots of Somdej Toh powder and get passed on from Sankaraj Pae, Wat suthat as well.

This piece is mixed with lots of Somdej Toh powder/fragments and other holy dried plants of herbs and hemps that Phra Kru Moon had been keeping for long time.

Note that there is a Phra kru moon pattern of somdej issued by Wat Prasat 2506 too in my earlier post. They look similar but definitely not the same.

LP Thuat Pert Loke, LP Doo, 2532, thong daeng

Sharing my favourite piece of LP Thuat Rian made by LP Doo on 2532. One year before the master passed away. It is one of the most well known LP thuat made by LP Doo, widely known as "pert loke" means open the world.

A sacred rian with the portrait of Luang Phor Thuad embossed on the front side and name of Luang Poo Doo of Wat Sa-kae on back, together with the Thai number identified B.E.2532.

The followers of Luang Poo Doo revealed that Luang Poo Doo told them that while he was reciting the sacred spells to create the Rian Perdloke his mind could touch a miracle light that had penetrated into the three worlds (Heaven, hell and world of human being). This explains why it is called "open the world".

Hope one day i can have the nur takua and nur silver as well. But silver rian is worth 250,000 THB now an gold one can go up to 1 million THB.

2522, Phra phrom, LP Doo, Nur pasom (mix brass and copper)

Sharing another piece of LP Doo, Wat Saket popular phra phrom.

LP Doo is from the lineage of AC Heng and LP Si that made the most expensive phra phrom in Thailand. The ngern metal stamp cost 100,000 thai baht. This phra phrom made by lp doo, in 2522 is of top condition. With jarn written by lp doo clearly seen on surface of the back of amulet. Not all metal phra phrom have "mee" code on the side. without code it costs only 15000 baht. but this one has code. No code one are not made by lp Doo. But other temple pass to him for giving to devotees.

For nur pasom, the more yellow it is, means more brass and thus it will be more expensive. if more red, means more copper. thus price lower. if copper only, price only 25000 baht.Total phra phrom metal made 10,000 pieces. there are copper, mix (nur pasom) and brass. Copper cheaper and brass most expensive.

This piece was wrapped with nice, thick gold. The gold case was made from famous goldshop in Supanburi (Boonlert); well known for workmanship and gold quality.

LP Doo (Wat Saket) Phra Phrom Nur Phong

Sharing this piece of nice LP Doo Phra Phrom Nur Phong. Make from powder and secred powder mixed together in 2519.


The original intention of making Phra Phrom nur phong is really for LP Doo's disciple or followers. It is not for sale. LP Doo gave to his students who meditate with him. Many people then make use of LP Doo's amulet especially powder type to put in their hand while meditation .This helps them to progress further, calm their mind and help them to concentrate while meditating.
There is also a story why LP Doo make this style of phra phrom with a buddha on top of the head.

Buddha wanted to teach Phra Phrom a lesson. He hide himself in Phra Phrom hair. Phra Phrom cannot find buddha even he use all his power. Buddha asked him to just look within himself and eventually he found buddha hiding in his hair. This story is repeated printed and told in many important buddhist scripture/book. LP Doo's student use this amulet for Buddhanusati (always think about buddha and his teaching) they put in their hand and pray.

The one shown above is of good quality and it is rarely found one in the market with many dharma-tarts on surface So much so that the face features can't be seen clearly. But it is really nice to see this under scope. and the back of the amulet resembles other powder type amulets made by LP Doo. So, it is "Doo ngai ngai" :)

Phra Kry Moon, Wat Suthat, Somdej Pim mee Nha Ta

Sharing another piece of Phra kru moon Somdej. I have shown pim Mee Nha Ta (rectangle) few months ago. This piece is the sam lian (triangle) version. The face features are nice and look very soothing for wearer.

Phra Kru Moon Wat Su that

Sharing this piece of rare collection of mine. Somdej made by phra kru Moon has gained much popularity nowadays surpassing Somdej Pao in terms of price.

Why is this amulet so much sought after by collectors? Reasons being:

i. High concentration of old somdej Wat Rakhang powder and fragments were mixed to make somdej by Phra Kru Moon. He collected this old powder for long time and also get passed down from Samkaraj Pae.

ii. Apart from old somdej Wat rakhang powder, he also mixed it with lots of rare herbs and powder that he collected through out his monkhood.

iii. Phra Kru Moon himself is a highly respected and powerful monk. He has high meditation power and amulets made by him are proven efficacious in various aspects; career advancement, metta, protection.

The above pim is one of the most expensive and sought after pim. Pim Ket Bua Toom.

Phra Perd Maan, Wat Nok, pim lek, 2460s (2nd Placing)

Some Info:
Phra Somdej Wat Nok (AngThong Province) were consecrated by Luang Phor Ferng, Luang Phu Thong and Luang Phu Suk (Wat Makham Thao, Chainat) whom they were pals and often met in consecration ceremonies both in their temples and elsewhere.

Luang Phor Ferng learnt Dharma and Wicha Akom (magical power) from the abbot of Wat Nok and had learnt from many masters during his tudong in the forest. Luang Phor Ferng was a highly respected monk at his time, even Luang Phor Klan of Wat Prayathikaram had high respect for him.

The materials used for making Pra Somdej Wat Nok were from various kind of herbs, holy powders from Luang Phor Ferng and Luang Phu Thong. These also included the powders collected during the drawing different types of Kom and Yant (magical scriptures) and sugarcane juice as harderner.

As informed by the elders from the villages around AngThong province, Pra Wat Nok were very efficacious for Metta Maha Niyom and Kleaw Klart (prevent bodily harm).

Pra Kru Wat Nok – LP Ferng Angtong , Biodata
Wat Nok , official name, Wat Sakunaram, is a famous temple of Angtong Province. Established during the Kingdom of Ayudhya it was deserted for decades until renovated by Luang Poo Ferng, a monk better known for the creation of Pra Wat Nok amulets.

These beautiful century old amulets are full of charactersitic and beautifully preserved. Whats more they are more than affordable.

It is generally assumed that Luang Poo Ferng had created the Pra Wat Nok amulets around BE 2460 to worship Lord Buddha.

Most of the amulets were given to those that had supported the renovation of the temple, Luang Poo Ferng passed away in BE 2467.

Both LP Ferrn and LP Suk, Wat Makhamtao were good friends and it is clear that the design of the Wat Nok amulets used many of the design elements of those created by LP Suk.

Pra Wat Nok amulets are fairly robust pims due to a combination of the composition and drying process over decades.

Generally these amulets can be found in 4 colour variations, black, grey, yellow, brown. The colours caused by the materials used to create the amulets and the reaction with the environment,

Sacred Kru

After Luang Poo Ferng hjad created these amulets the majority were either stored within a Kru or placed within a scared Chedi at Wat Srakes, Angtong province.

Luang Phor Toh, then abbot of Wat Srakes, Arngtong Province, had discovered the Kru which he opened. The amulets were again distributed to new worshippers who had supported the temple’s renovation project.

Luang Poo Fern
Little is known about Luang Poo Ferng, the monk that had created these amulets. What is known is that he was a quiet and dedicated monk who preferred to practice and study sacred sciences alone.

It is recorded that he had been offered high ranking positions on a number of occasions and refused not wanting recognition beyond his current status.

Ultimately he was to become one of the most highly respected and sacred monks of his generation.

Despite the lack of information available from the archives there are many accounts of the efficacy of his amulets.

A typical example is that of a physician, who said that he was involved in collision with a truck whilst driving his motorcycle. He was dragged for 20 meters but was spared major injury. Witnesses to the accident were sure of his death but attributed his amazing good fortune to the single amulet that he was wearing from Wat Nok.

The main point of collecting Wat Nok, amulet was mixed with Bailan powder chanted by Lp Suk of Wat Mak Kam Tao. caz abbot of Wat Nok, he is junior and Lp Suk is senior. good relationship between them. As historical record, Lp Suk sometimes invited abbot of Wat Nok, co-chant amulet or even taught him "Khata and Mantra".

My piece shared, is "doo ngai". Look greenish with glossy look.

LP Thuat Wat Prasat 2506 Pim Jew

Sharing an excellent condition LP Thuat from wat prasat 2506, pim jew (mini). Nur wahn. This piece is very dry, just like 2497 Wat changhai LP thuat. What makes this piece special:

1. Pim jew is rare as compare to pim Yai. And this piece is kamakan pim.

2. It uses LP Thuat Lang Nang Seur small 2505 as pattern.

3. This piece has mixed with 2497 wahn and other powder from top monks of that era. and it has gone through a super big scale consecration ceremony. Refer to my older post on wat prasat batch.

Somdej Wat Rakhang Roy Pee 2515 (1st Placing)

Sharing a nice piece of Somdej Roy Pee (100 years anniversary). Wat Rakhang, 2515. Pim Tor. 1st placing in recent Samakorm Competition on 27th May 2012

Roy Pee is well known among seasoned collectors. It has mixed with lots of old Somdej Wat Rakhang powder or broken fragments of it. So, widely regards as a must have for somdej collectors.

LP Thuat Wat Changhai 2524 Pim Phra Rod (1st Placing)

Sharing another piece of LP thuat 2524 from Wat changhai, pim phra rod, nur wahn. Pim Phra Rod has gained lots of popularity recently as pim yai is quite easy to find in the market and pim kamakan has lots of fake or remake one in the market. So, phra rod pim has gone from S$300 a piece few years back to the now current price of S$600-900. A top piece with 95% condition is even asking for 25,000 Baht. And price will continue to go up as 2524 is proven effacacious with lots of miracles. A good replacement for 2497 AC Tim, Wat changhai LP thuat if one can't afford one. 2524 is mixed with lots of 2497 wahn.

Somdej Phra Kru Moon, Wat Suthat 2495

Sharing a piece of nice somdej made by Phra Kru Moon of Wat Suthat in 2495.

Phra Kru Moon has collected lots of Somdej Wat Rakhang old Powder himselves and from Sankaraj Pae. Thus this batch of somdej was mixed with lots of old somdej Wat rakhang powder and other holy herbs and dried plants collected by Phra Kru Moon for a long time.

Nowadays, even somdej 2509 from BKP command high price tag even though a smll amount of old BKP powder mixed into it. Thus this batch of phra kru moon somdej is definitely more worth to collect both for wearing or collection.

And a note of caution. many people confused this with somdej phra kru moon made by wat prasat in 2506. Wat prasat made a somdej similar to this to commemorate phra kru Moon but i don't think phra kru moon himselves participate in wat prasat consecration ceremony. and the price is also lots of difference. This piece below is almost double the price for somdej phra kru moon by wat prasat.
